About TYLsemi

Removing barriers to the next generation of computing

Chiplets Built for AI

TYLsemi™ is a chiplet-first silicon company focused on AI infrastructure. We deliver production-ready chiplets for connectivity, power, and efficiency, enabling teams to build advanced systems without the cost and complexity of designing critical silicon from scratch.

Built for rapid real-world deployment, our chiplets integrate directly into multi-die systems, accelerating development and reducing risk. For customers requiring complete solutions, we extend this platform to full custom silicon, delivering production-ready systems at scale.

Leadership

Experienced leaders with a track record of delivering complex silicon and building high-performance systems.

Mohit Gupta
Mohit Gupta
Founder & CEO
Silicon Valley

Mohit Gupta founded TYLsemi to build full-stack Chiplet platform for Custom silicon development— an area which has long been underserved. TYLsemi exists to provide the foundational chiplets across connectivity and power delivery tailored to integrate with custom compute dies for the evolving needs of AI infrastructure.

Most recently, Mohit served as Executive Vice President and General Manager at Alphawave Semi, where he was part of the executive leadership team that grew the company into a global provider of high-performance connectivity IP and custom silicon for AI and HPC applications. Alphawave Semi was acquired by Qualcomm in 2025.

Prior to Alphawave, Mohit was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the OpenFive business unit at SiFive — a custom ASIC and connectivity IP business that was acquired by Alphawave Semi in 2022. Earlier in his career, he held engineering and management roles at Rambus, Open-Silicon, Infineon Technologies, and STMicroelectronics.

Mohit’s educational background includes a B.E. in Electrical and Communications Engineering from Thapar University, an M.S. in Microelectronics from BITS Pilani, and an Executive MBA program from IIM Calcutta.

Sunil Bhardwaj
Sunil Bhardwaj
Co-Founder & COO
Silicon Valley

Sunil Bhardwaj brings more than two decades of leadership across semiconductor engineering, operations, and business development to TYLsemi as its Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer.

Following Qualcomm’s acquisition of Alphawave Semi, he served as General Manager of the Custom Silicon Business Group before co-founding TYLsemi. At Alphawave Semi, Sunil led the custom silicon operation, helping scale the business into a global custom silicon platform.

Prior to Alphawave, Sunil was Senior Group Director at Cadence Design Systems, leading IP Sales, Applications Engineering, and Sales Operations. Earlier in his career he held engineering management roles at Rambus, Micron Technology, and Cypress (now Infineon Technologies).

Sunil holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.

Shaishav Desai

Shaishav Desai leads TYLsemi’s engineering team, bringing deep expertise in AI and compute interconnects, high-speed transceivers, power management, and low-power SoC design across multiple generations of advanced-node silicon.

Most recently, Shaishav was Senior Director at Microsoft, where he led the development of multiple generations of proprietary high-speed interconnects for AI and compute SoCs — work at the heart of Microsoft’s custom silicon infrastructure program. Prior to Microsoft, he was Senior Director at Rambus, Distinguished Engineer at Wave Computing, and Engineering Director at MoSys.

Earlier in his career, Shaishav held engineering and management roles at Prism Circuits (acquired by MoSys), PA Semi (acquired by Apple, where it became the foundation of Apple’s custom silicon program), and Sun Microsystems. He began his career as an intern engineer at the Indian Space Research Organization.

Shaishav holds 40 patents and 14 IEEE publications. He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Sundeep Gupta

Sundeep brings deep expertise in SoC and IP architecture, front-end design, chiplet technologies, and advanced connectivity solutions, and holds multiple patents.

Most recently, Sundeep served at Alphawave Semi as VP of IP Engineering and Managing Director of the India Design Center, where he led the development of high-performance connectivity IP, chiplet solutions, and the expansion of the company’s India engineering operations. Throughout his career, he has partnered with customers ranging from startups to Tier-1 technology companies, helping define and deliver next-generation products.

Prior to Alphawave, Sundeep held leadership roles at OpenFive/SiFive, AppliedMicro, Conexant, Maxim Integrated, Marvell Semiconductor, and CG CoreEl. He holds a B.E. from COEP and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University.

How we build matters as much as what we build

Put people first, always

We are built around people, from our teams to our customers and partners. We work closely, communicate clearly, and stay focused on delivering outcomes that matter.

Make the complex practical

AI infrastructure is inherently complex. We simplify what matters most, turning chiplet-based design into something teams can adopt, deploy, and scale in real systems.

Deliver real silicon

We focus on production-ready outcomes. Not concepts, not partial solutions, but silicon that is validated, integrated, and ready to deploy.

Innovate with purpose

We prioritize what drives the most impact for our customers, focusing on the critical functions of AI systems and solving the hardest problems first.

Accelerate progress

Everything we build is designed to lower development risk, reduce unnecessary cost, and help teams move from architecture to deployment faster.

Think holistically

We look beyond individual components to the full system, aligning chiplets, packaging, and manufacturing to ensure everything works together in the real world.
